About us
FJORK Merino: merino wool from Australia, developed in Switzerland
FJORK Merino is a Swiss brand founded in 2018 by a former member of the national alpine ski team and a hockey player from the canton of Vaud. Passionate about sport and mountains, they designed a range of clothing that combines technology, comfort and performance, inspired by nature.
Our merino wool comes from Australian growers. The supply chain is Responsible Wool Standard certified, audited by an independent third party, and the non-mulesed status (NM) is attested on an Australian Wool Testing Authority certificate. Our socks are knitted in Italy, the rest of production takes place in China.
A name inspired by the bears of Bern
The name FJORK is a contraction of BJORK and FINN, a pair of brown bears that are emblems of the city of Bern. The bear, a symbol of strength and adaptability, captures the spirit of our products: optimal thermal protection, whatever the conditions.
Natural and innovative technology
At FJORK Merino we make the most of the exceptional properties of merino sheep wool through a unique process of twisting and treating the longest fibres. This creates a natural thermal weave, which delivers optimal temperature regulation and comfort in every season.
Strength, performance and wellbeing: the values of nature are at the heart of every FJORK Merino garment.
